Your role will involve close collaboration with developers, process engineers, and end users to design interfaces that make intelligence data accessible, understandable, and effective. You'll help drive innovation in data display and parser development while leveraging direct user feedback, human factors research, and modern design practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop secure and intuitive user interfaces for complex data systems.
- Collaborate with application developers and product designers to produce UI specifications and prototypes.
- Conduct user research through surveys, interviews, and focus groups to guide design decisions.
- Analyze user requirements, workflows, and pain points to create meaningful design improvements.
- Direct and conduct usability testing to validate design changes and enhance user satisfaction.
- Convert complex analytical data into actionable, visual dashboards and displays.
- Apply visual storytelling and UI design best practices to support mission-critical workflows.
- Use tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe XD, or PenPot for prototyping and design delivery.
- 10+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design, Human Factors Engineering, or interactive product design.
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following (or related fields):
- Graphics Design
- Psychology
- Human Factors and Ergonomics (HFE)
- Systems/Software Engineering
- Computer Science
- Business Process Engineering
- Strong ability to design graphic UI elements (menus, tabs, widgets, dashboards).
- Enterprise experience designing across multiple platforms and applications.
- Skilled in UI prototyping, workflow design, and usability testing.
- Knowledge of interactive design, visual communication, and accessibility standards.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in Human Factors Engineering, Human-Centered Computing, or related disciplines.
- Omnichannel UX/UI design experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with secure design principles and government/military application workflows.
- Strong creative problem-solving skills and a user-first mindset.
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
- Polygraph must be current within the past 7 years (i.e., not earlier than 2021)
- Hybrid schedule with up to 2 days/week telework
- Fast-paced, collaborative environment supporting mission-critical national security programs
