Personal Care Assistant - School Setting

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support students in an elementary school life skills classroom. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with autism and behavioral challenges and be committed to helping students achieve academic, social, and behavioral success in the school environment.

Schedule

• Elementary School Hours: 8:20 AM - 3:50 PM
• Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students throughout the school day
• Assist students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
• Implement behavior support strategies and interventions as directed by school staff
• Support students with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental or behavioral needs
• Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and daily routines
• Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and support staff regarding student progress and needs

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of experience working with students who exhibit behavioral challenges
• Experience supporting students with autism preferred
• Strong communication, patience, and classroom management skills
• Ability to follow behavior intervention plans and work collaboratively with school personnel

• FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114)
• School Personnel Health Form (Physical and TB Test)
• PDE 6004 Form (Act 24)
• Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form(s) (Act 168)
• CPR/First Aid Certification
