This school is seeking compassionate, dependable, and student-focused Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) and Paraeducators to support school-age students with special needs.
In this role, you will work closely with classroom teachers, therapists, and educational professionals to assist students with their academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and daily living needs.

Job Description
This school is seeking compassionate, dependable, and student-focused Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) and Paraeducators to support school-age students with special needs.
In this role, you will work closely with classroom teachers, therapists, and educational professionals to assist students with their academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and daily living needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Support: Provide individual and small-group support to assist students with classroom learning and transitions.
- IEP & Behavioral Plans: Assist in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and positive behavioral support plans.
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist students with mobility, feeding, personal care, and hygiene/toileting needs as required.
- Behavior Management: Help students develop social and communication skills; assist with crisis intervention and behavior de-escalation using approved DCIU procedures.
- Data & Documentation: Track and document student progress, performance, and behavioral data.
- Collaboration & Safety: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team (teachers, therapists, counselors) to maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment while adhering to FERPA confidentiality guidelines.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass required state and federal background clearances.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Associate's Degree.
- Prior experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with special needs.
- Background in Special Education, Emotional Support, Behavioral Health, Autism Support, or PCA roles.
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Background Clearances:
- PA State Criminal Background Check (PATCH)
- PA Child Abuse Clearance
- FBI Fingerprint Clearance
- National Sex Offender Registry Check
- Medical Requirements: Physical Exam and TB Screening
- Certifications & Trainings:
- CPR Certification ( In-Person Training Required )
- First Aid Certification ( In-Person Training Required )
- Safety-Care Certification
- PA Mandated Reporter Training
