We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Technician to support students in an elementary school classroom setting. Position Details
- Full-time position
- Elementary school classroom setting
- Classroom Assistant role (not a 1:1 assignment)
- Primarily supporting kindergarten-aged students
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- 1 opening available
- Provide behavioral and classroom support to students with autism and other behavioral needs.
- Assist in managing behaviors, including elopement and occasional aggression.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement behavior intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication regarding student progress and incidents.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Experience working with children with autism or behavioral challenges preferred.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in high-stress situations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to student success.
- Act 114: FBI Fingerprinting
- Act 151: Child Abuse Clearance
- Act 34: Pennsylvania Criminal History Report
- Act 24: Arrest/Conviction Report
- Act 126: Child Abuse Recognition & Reporting Training (proof of completion required)
- Current TB Test (must meet required guidelines and be submitted within 30 days of start date)
