Job Description

As a Systems Engineer, you will help design, integrate, deploy, and sustain Linux-based systems and containerized environments. You'll work across operating systems, virtualization, networking, storage, automation, and modern infrastructure technologies to deliver reliable mission capabilities. You'll have the opportunity to grow your technical expertise alongside highly skilled engineers, collaborate with exceptional teammates, and directly contribute to missions that strengthen our nation's security. You'll also end your day knowing that you're doing work that truly matters.

Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities:

Hands-on experience administering, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux systems.
Experience deploying, configuring, or supporting containerized applications and environments.
Working knowledge of container technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar platforms.
Experience integrating, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting hardware and software systems.
Understanding of virtualization technologies and virtualized infrastructure.
Working knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, and system communications.
Experience supporting system deployments, upgrades, technology refreshes, or operational transitions.
Ability to troubleshoot issues across operating systems, applications, networks, and infrastructure components.
Experience creating and maintaining system architecture, configuration, deployment, and operational documentation.
Ability to collaborate with software, systems, network, cybersecurity, and mission teams.
Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration and ticketing tools.
Ability to support mission-critical systems in lab and operational environments.
Qualifications:

Minimum five (5) years of experience in systems engineering, systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical field.
Demonstrated experience supporting Linux-based systems and infrastructure.
Experience working with containerization technologies in development, lab, test, or operational environments.
Active TS/SCI with polygraph-level clearance.
Desired Skills:

Experience with automation and configuration-management tools such as Ansible, Salt, Puppet, or Terraform.
Scripting experience using Bash, Python, Perl, or a similar language.
Experience supporting cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated deployment processes.
Experience with VMware, KVM, Proxmox, Nutanix, or similar virtualization technologies.
Knowledge of enterprise storage technologies and platforms.
Familiarity with Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and security protocols.
Experience applying DISA STIGs or other security-hardening standards to Linux or containerized environments.
Understanding of PKI, TLS, certificates, encryption, and associated security policies.
Experience with system monitoring, logging, and performance-management tools.
