Codescratch is currently seeking a self-motivated and talented System/Cloud Administrator to help build cutting-edge analytics and tools in support of the cyber mission space. Role Responsibilities/Duties:
As a System Administrator, you will be instrumental in providing support to our Development, Operations and Security teams. You will need to rack-and-stack, network and kick servers in a lab environment. PXE booting. To use Ansible for server hardening/config, and have VSphere/virtualization knowledge.
You will join a team of 20+ who work together to provide full-lifecycle support to a software application providing audio ingest, storage, query, playback, analysis, and transcription capabilities. The application is used by national and tactical analysts on small systems (laptops) and large systems (multi-node clusters). Given the flexibility of the application, we have several development and deployment platforms which we are required to stand up, maintain, and tear down. We often perform hardware refreshes requiring knowledge of our system infrastructure, requirements, and scalability needs.
Should be comfortable working in a small, agile team, adept at troubleshooting complex issues, automating workflows, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver reliable and secure system solutions in support of DoD or Intelligence Community missions.

Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of Five (5)+ years of hands-on experience in System Administration.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Assurance, or related discipline from an accredited college/university.
* Nine (9)+ years of hands-on experience needed without a Bachelor's degree.
- Relevant certifications may be substituted for education or years of experience.
- Strong Linux System Administration experience.
- Hands-on hardware experience to include rack configuration, cabling, hardware troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMWare, Xen, Nutanix).
- Network troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of STE/STN and vulnerability patching.
- Strong ability to multitask and self-manage in a small team setting, where engineers often wear multiple hats.
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active Intel TS/SCI w. Polygraph clearance required
- Must be local to, or willing to relocate to the DMV Metropolitan area
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Ansible scripting and automation
- Windows Server Maintenance
- Familiarity with Jira & Confluence
- Prior experience working with or supporting DoD or Intelligence Community programs is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, Linux+, RHCSA/RHCE, CEH, or CISSP.
- Have, or obtain Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II certification
Salary Range
Pay range $150,000 - $230,000.
The pay range for this job level is a general estimated guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
