Overview
The Financial Analyst position at the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO) requires a minimum of five (5) years of relevant DoD or equivalent federal service work experience with at least two (2) years' experience in an SAP and/or SCI environment. Personnel in the Journeyman labor category typically perform all functional duties independently. A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.\\r\\n\\r\\n

Responsibilities
- Applicants must possess extensive knowledge of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process to support DoD acquisition program lifecycles.
- Applicants must be able to develop, track, and maintain comprehensive financial records and budget reporting; forecast program spend plans to ensure fiscal accuracy.
- They must have the aptitude to review and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all budget execution and financial documentation.
- Must be able to support internal and external financial audits and coordinate financial actions with external government stakeholders and agencies.
- Contract reconciliation and closeout functions are also required to be performed.
Skills Required
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.
- Experience with DoD financial tools/systems, e.g., Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS), Comprehensive Cost and Requirements (CCaR), Advana Dormant Account Review - Quarterly (DARQ), Advana FASTR Data Warehouse (FDW), and SAFES is a plus.
- Excellent verbal communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills are required.
- Applicants must be able to work in a team environment and in a sensitive, compartmented information facility (SCIF).
- Applicants must have strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Applicants must have the ability to be self-directed and self-motivated.
- Applicants must understand US Air Force financial management processes, US Air Force accounting and payment systems to include reimbursable funds management.
- Applicants with Program Objective Memorandum (POM) experience desired.
- Applicants must demonstrate excellence in quantitative analysis, technical writing, and verbal briefing/communication.
- The USSF is responsible for organizing, training, and equipping Guardians to conduct global space operations that enhance the way our joint and coalition forces fight, while also offering decision makers military options to achieve national objectives.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Applicants must be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
