Responsibilities
Qualifications


We are currently seeking an Operations Shift Lead 3rd shift (10PM to 6AM) to join the Compartmented Enterprise Services Office (CESO) effort. This program is establishing a modern secure web service (SWS) operation as part of a state-of-the-art, highly automated platform capable of supporting a rapidly expanding customer population. Apply today to become part of the team that is assisting CESO as they migrate to a high security cloud environment by leading day to day operations activities and incident response for assigned shift.

This position is based in Arlington, VA and is 100% on-site.
  • Lead and coordinate operations tasks during assigned shifts.
  • Oversee Monitoring of network, servers, applications, and infrastructure for outages and performance issues.
  • Own incident triage, escalation, and resolution through closure.
  • Coordinate with network, systems, security, application, and vendor teams.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs, escalation procedures, and operational runbooks.
  • Review alerts and incidents for trends, recurring problems, and potential improvements.
  • Conduct shift handovers and maintain accurate operational documentation.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance during complex incidents.
  • Prepare incident reports, shift summaries, and operational metrics.
  • Participate in major incident management and post-incident reviews.


Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of overall related experience with a Windows or Linux server environment. Additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree
  • An active TS/SCI security clearance is required for this position.
  • Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at least IAT level II, e.g Security+ce.
  • Candidate may be asked to obtain CI Poly in future
  • Comfortable working 24×7 shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous experience leading an operations team or acting as a senior escalation point.
  • Excellent communication and incident coordination skills.
  • Strong decision-making under pressure. Must be able to make independent risk based decisions while leading a small team during outages.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, or equivalent
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes, particularly Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, switching
  • Familiarity with Windows/Linux infrastructure and cloud environments.
  • Hands on experience in IT Cybersecurity, Network Operations, or Windows Server administration.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Prior experienced with DISA and DISA’s support to mission partners
  • TS/SCI w/CI Poly Preferred
  • Previous shift-lead or team-lead experience in a DoD, military, or cleared NOC/SOC environment
  • Experience refining shift SOPs, playbooks, or escalation procedures based on operational trends
