The Opportunity

Data is the ultimate strategic asset, but only if it is secured, organized, and weaponized for decision-making. We are seeking a visionary Data Architect to revolutionize how the Department of Weapons (DoW) Special Access Program (SAP) enterprise secures and utilizes its critical information assets. Based fully onsite in Rosslyn, VA, you will architect the frameworks that protect our nation’s most sensitive intelligence while ensuring it gets to those who need it most.

What You Will Do (Your Mission)

Architect the Defense: Build and deploy cutting-edge data classification and categorization systems to shield mission-critical data based on sensitivity and strict regulatory requirements.
Master Data Tagging: Lead the high-stakes coordination and deployment of advanced data tagging and labeling mechanisms across the entire DoW SAP enterprise.
Govern the Enterprise: Design and execute a robust data governance framework from scratch. You will define clear policies, roles, and responsibilities for data ownership, stewardship, and custodianship.
Secure the Lifecycle: Implement ironclad security controls, privacy protections, and data masking solutions to safeguard sensitive data from unauthorized access or breaches.
Integrate & Innovate: Evaluate and integrate next-generation data governance tools while standardizing complex data ingestion processes from diverse enterprise sources.
Ensure Compliance: Maintain absolute alignment with DoW policies, including DoDI 5200.01 information security standards.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

Clearance Requirement

Active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory. (Must be maintainable).

Work Location

100% Onsite: Must be comfortable working in a secure facility in Rosslyn, VA.

Education & Experience

Option 1: Bachelor’s Degree paired with 10+ years of highly relevant data management experience.
Option 2: High School Diploma paired with 14+ years of elite technical experience.

Core Expertise

Proven mastery in enterprise-level data tagging and labeling mechanisms.
Deep understanding of data masking strategies, lifecycle management, and privacy control integration.
Ability to design comprehensive enterprise data frameworks from the ground up.

Bonus Points

Prior experience directly supporting the DoW and/or DoW SAP environments.
