Summary:

The G3 Strategic War Planner V shall provide support to the planning, programming and resourcing which enables AMC to provide critical insight to emerging ASCC requirements that impact AMC's footprint to include installations, AORs, training exercises, and strategic, operational and sustainment support.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:
  • Ensures CG suspense's are met for Secretary of the Army/Chief of Staff of the Army (CSA) updates, risks and impacts linked to plans/coordination/execution for the HQs AMC Sustainable Readiness Module (SRM) mission and the Army Readiness Synchronization Update (ARSU.
  • Provides support on all matters of military and civilian training associated with the Strategic and Operational Readiness for AMC to support Senior Leaders ASCC initiatives.
  • Provide analysis and back briefs to HQDA, ASCC Staffs and MSC command teams ensuring synchronization of effort across the commands.
  • Supports and provides direct input to Munitions (Production/Positioning), Army Prepositioned Stocks, critical starter stocks for Theaters, accounting, tracking, recording and monitoring of all HQDA and Command directed missions Innovative Readiness Training Operational Plans/Concept Operational Plans (IRT OPLAN/CONPLANS).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous assignments.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in strategic studies, Business Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of senior-level experience in the Army for Joint Staff Conducting Strategic Planning, Sustainment Operations, or Enterprise-Level Analysis.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience developing, integrating, and managing complex planning products in support of the Theater Campaign Plan, aligned with DoW and HQDA strategic guidance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience reviewing and analyzing national strategy, Joint doctrine, COCOM Posture Statements, and OPLANs/CONPLANs to identify AMC equities, risks, and required support capabilities.
  • Experienced in evaluating the effectiveness of policies, programs, missions, functions, staffing, and organizational workload to support enterprise improvement.
  • Experience in providing broad, interdisciplinary analysis at the Army Service Component Command or Combatant Command level.
  • Experience in conducting crisis action planning and deliberate planning cycles, rapidly assessing impacts of emerging strategic conditions an resource shifts.
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills, transitioning complex strategic issues into clear recommendations for senior Army and DoW leadership.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Any related professional certifications.


Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $140,000 to $175,000.
