Job Description
Dear Candidate,
You see this role as you want to see it - in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions.
A recruiter.
A sourcer.
A Boolean searcher.
A professional LinkedIn stalker. (We prefer "talent researcher.")
But what we're looking for can't be summed up quite that easily.
At SHR, we're for engineers, by engineers. That means recruiting here is about more than matching keywords to a job description. It's about learning what our engineers do, understanding the work behind the acronyms, and finding talented people who can make an impact-even when the right candidate isn't sitting neatly at the top of a search result.
And while you don't need to be an engineer to recruit here, you should be curious enough to understand the people who are.
Prior mastery of federal and cleared recruiting is not required. What will turn our heads? The ability to learn quickly, remain composed when priorities inevitably shift, and take ownership without waiting for every next step to be assigned. We favor those with initiative, good judgment, relentless follow-through, and the confidence to ask questions today so they can operate independently tomorrow.
You'll work alongside our Recruiting Lead, learning the art-and occasionally the mystery-of sourcing passive talent, building Boolean searches, managing candidate pipelines, and navigating the world of federal and cleared staffing.
And yes, federal recruiting serves up its own alphabet soup. Move over BRB, TTYL, and FOMO-there's DoD, TS/SCI, and LCAT to learn now. Fear not. We'll get you fluent ASAP.
Bring us your curiosity, persistence, initiative, and drive. Bring the instinct to figure things out and the follow-through to take ownership and see what you start through to completion.
So, yes, you could see this as a junior recruiting (engineer) position.
But we see someone with drive, initiative, curiosity, persistence, and the potential to become exceptionally good at finding exceptionally good people.
Does that answer your question?
Sincerely,
SHR Recruiting
For Engineers, By Engineers.
What You'll Do
Find & Attract Talent -Some apply. Others must be sourced like a gem.
Connect, Qualify & Keep Things Moving - A great candidate sitting in someone's inbox isn't much of a recruiting victory. Responsiveness and follow-through matter through continuous engagement.
What You Bring
