About the Opportunity
We're looking for a relationship-focused Talent Acquisition Specialist who understands that recruiting is about more than filling positions. It's about connecting exceptional people with meaningful careers while supporting mission-critical federal programs and the continued growth of our organization.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and believes every candidate deserves a positive experience, regardless of the outcome. You'll work alongside a recruiting leader with more than 20 years of government contracting recruiting experience who is passionate about mentoring the next generation of talent acquisition professionals.
Military veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for active contract positions, proposal-driven hiring efforts, and internal corporate openings.
• Recruit across a diverse portfolio of positions including Human Resources, Intelligence, Operations, Program Management, Business Development, Technical, Finance, Contracts, and other corporate functions.
• Build and maintain pipelines of cleared and uncleared professionals across multiple labor categories.
• Partner closely with hiring managers to understand business needs, customer requirements, and hiring priorities.
• Source candidates through multiple channels including LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs, networking, referrals, and direct outreach.
• Utilize iCIMS to manage candidate pipelines, documentation, reporting, and compliance.
• Ensure candidate records, interview documentation, and recruiting activities remain audit-ready and compliant.
• Coordinate and facilitate the interview process from initial outreach through offer acceptance.
• Balance multiple priorities, shifting deadlines, and competing requisitions with professionalism, organization, and a sense of urgency.
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience by communicating with empathy, transparency, and respect.
• Support proposal recruiting efforts by identifying qualified talent, obtaining letters of commitment, and meeting proposal deadlines.
• Partner with internal operational teams on recruiting initiatives, workforce planning, hiring events, onboarding support, and continuous process improvements as business needs evolve.
• Contribute to recruiting metrics, reporting, and process enhancements that improve efficiency and hiring outcomes.
Required Qualifications
• 2–5 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, preferably within government contracting or a fast-paced professional services environment.
Active Secret Clearance or higher
• Experience using iCIMS as an Applicant Tracking System.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• High attention to detail with a process-oriented mindset.
• Understanding of recruiting compliance, documentation, and applicant tracking best practices.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and represent the organization with professionalism.
• Local to the Washington, DC Metro Area with the ability to work in a hybrid environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Military service or experience working within military or federal environments.
• Experience recruiting within the government contracting industry.
• Experience supporting both active contract recruiting and proposal staffing efforts.
• Familiarity with recruiting cleared professionals and understanding security clearance requirements.
• Experience supporting internal corporate hiring in addition to customer-facing contract positions.
The Ideal Candidate
• You're someone who naturally balances people and process.
• You understand that recruiting requires consistency, compliance, organization, and documentation, but you never lose sight of the human being behind the résumé. You have a high level of emotional intelligence and know how to meet people where they are, whether they're actively seeking a new opportunity or simply exploring what's next in their career.
• You enjoy variety and can confidently move from recruiting an HR Specialist one day to an Intelligence Analyst, Program Manager, Operations professional, Business Development executive, or Technical Engineer the next. You thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities shift, proposals move quickly, and no two days are exactly alike.
• You're curious, coachable, and eager to learn from experienced professionals. You seek feedback, embrace continuous improvement, and want to build a long-term career in talent acquisition. You communicate proactively, stay organized under pressure, and consistently deliver a high-quality experience for candidates and hiring managers alike.
• Above all, you believe every interaction matters because today's candidate may become tomorrow's employee, customer, teammate, or advocate for our organization.
What You'll Gain
• Direct mentorship from a recruiting leader with more than 20 years of government contracting recruiting experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting mission-critical federal programs and corporate growth initiatives.
• Exposure to recruiting across multiple functional disciplines and customer environments.
• Experience supporting both active recruiting and proposal staffing.
• Opportunities to expand your recruiting expertise, develop new skills, and grow your career.
• A collaborative team that values integrity, accountability, continuous learning, exceptional customer service, and treating people with respect.
Success in This Role | Within your first year, you'll be able to:
• Independently manage a diverse portfolio of active, proposal, and corporate requisitions.
• Build trusted partnerships with hiring managers and candidates.
• Maintain exceptional data integrity and reporting within iCIMS.
• Consistently deliver an outstanding candidate experience.
• Support proposal efforts with speed, accuracy, and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes and contribute to the continued growth and success of the Talent Acquisition function.
