Your effort and expertise are crucial to the success and execution of this impactful mission. This opportunity supports an Enterprise IT contract with a team of Systems Administrators, Network Engineers, Systems Engineers and System Integration Technicians, responsible for the architecture, engineering, integration, operations, maintenance and sustainment of multi-level Enterprise IT environment.
Job Description:
  • This is a mixed team of Civilian leads and Contractors responsible for 2 unique operational customers networking.
  • The team will configure the systems in our contractor building and then support in person or remotely the fielding's of the new gear.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for ongoing Networking support including firewall and Crypto gear.
  • SSP Compliance work.
  • Network Engineering experience to meet the years for this LCAT
  • Required to travel occasionally/ as needed to OCONUS locations and be on-call for Operational systems (Once up to speed).
  • Cisco and Arista configuration and sustainment experience.
  • Familiar with Latte 'Art and supporting STE/STN and SSP compliance for those devices.
  • Desired Skills:
    Call Manager experience
    Cisco ASA Firewall experience
    Experience automating repetitive tasks, Inventory collection, compliance requirements etc.
    Experience working in the cloud or with Hyperconverged infrastructure and containerized environments.

The Network Engineer Level 2 shall possess the following capabilities:
  • Optimize end-to-end system performance and dataflow management.
  • Conduct data captures to obtain network performance information.
  • Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput through design analysis and network performance monitoring tools.
  • Provide input to the design of the organization's network and mission architecture.
  • Design solutions, integrate, configure, deploy, test and provide ongoing maintenance for numerous types of network devices, interfaces and methodologies.
  • Configure and optimize the network to connect various front-end and back-end components.
  • Gather needed data to specify system/component performance and interface requirements.
  • Implement specific network solutions to support server requirements to include load-balancing, VPN's, firewall contexts, Traffic Shaping Voice over IP (VoIP), GRE Tunneling, IP Security (IPSec), IP Encryption, Media over IP (MoIP), and network address translation (NAT) where appropriate.
  • Configure and maintain organization's network diagrams and accreditations.
  • Oversee the support to all network equipment.
  • Develop designs of the organizations network and mission architecture to meet new partner requirements.
  • Manage assigned tasks and provide guidance to junior Network Engineers.
  • Integrate hardware and software to satisfy ISO 9000 requirements and other DOD/IC regulations.

Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support and training commensurate with network engineering curriculum.
  • In lieu of a Master's degree, a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline and an additional two (2) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support for a total of eight (8) years.
  • In lieu of a Master's or Bachelor's degree an additional six (6) years experience providing Network Engineering support and a Certification in an industry standard (Arista Configuration Essentials, Cisco Certified Network Associate, or Juniper Certification Tracks (Automation & DevOps, Cloud, Data Center, Design, Enterprise Routing and Switching, Junos Security, Service Provider Routing and Switching) may be substituted for a total of 12 years.
Certifications:
  • An Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level I baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required.
