Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide one-on-one behavioral support for a 6th-grade student diagnosed with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The student is generally friendly and engaging, though occasional verbal aggression, non-compliance, and physical aggression may occur. The ideal candidate will be patient, consistent, and able to build trust while maintaining structure and professionalism. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, collaboration with school staff, and the ability to navigate a classroom environment effectively.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct behavioral support and intervention services throughout the school day.
- Implement individualized behavior plans and evidence-based ABA strategies.
- Collect and maintain accurate behavioral and progress data.
- Support Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Utilize approved de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques when necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and related service providers.
- Promote positive social interactions and classroom participation.
- Maintain professional communication with school staff and families as directed.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Required
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school team
- Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Intellectual Disabilities (ID), or behavioral challenges
- Crisis intervention training such as CPI or Safe Crisis Management (SCM)
- Previous school-based behavioral health experience
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance (issued within the past year)
- FBI Fingerprint Clearance for Pennsylvania (issued within the past year)
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check (issued within the past year)
- TB Test (within the past 3 months)
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
- Act 24/Act 82 Arrest/Conviction Report Form
