Location: Boyertown, PA
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) with strong behavioral support experience to provide one-on-one assistance to a student within a school setting. This role is focused on supporting both academic engagement and behavioral development while ensuring the student can successfully access curriculum and school resources.

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to a student with behavioral needs
- Assist the student in achieving academic and behavioral goals
- Implement behavior support strategies and interventions as directed
- Support the student with modifications and accommodations to access curriculum
- Provide physical assistance when needed to ensure safe mobility and participation
- Adapt instructional materials as necessary to meet student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administration
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for the student
Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Supervisor of Special Education and Building Principal
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with behavioral needs preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and behavior management skills
- Ability to follow directives and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal History Clearance, and FBI Clearance (all within one year)
- Proof of qualifications
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Arrest/Conviction Report & Certification (Act 24)
- Letter of Assurance confirming completion of Act 168 Employment History Review
- Proof of Act 126 Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training
- Tuberculosis test (completed within the last 3 months)
- 10-panel drug screening
