Cybersecurity Analyst - Cybersecurity Integration, Policy Strat

Provide senior-level cybersecurity analysis and technical support to the Deputy CIO for Cybersecurity (DCIO-CS). The analyst will conduct cybersecurity research, risk assessments, policy analysis, vulnerability assessments, cloud security evaluations, AI security reviews, and support enterprise cybersecurity initiatives across the Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity research and business case analyses supporting policy changes, implementation plans, and strategic initiatives.
• Analyze cybersecurity risks affecting enterprise infrastructure, networks, cloud environments, and mission systems.
• Support development and refinement of cybersecurity strategies, architecture, policies, and governance frameworks.
• Assess cybersecurity compliance and continuous monitoring effectiveness.
• Support FISMA reporting and cybersecurity scorecard initiatives.
• Perform network vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies including:
  • Zero Trust
  • AI/ML cybersecurity
  • Cloud Security
  • DevSecOps
  • SIEM platforms
  • 5G/NextG technologies
• Develop technical reports, white papers, executive briefings, and recommendations.
• Support incident response and cyber threat analysis activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and 12 years of experience; OR
• Bachelor's degree and 14 years of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting Federal or DoD cybersecurity programs.

Knowledge of:

• RMF
• NIST Cybersecurity Framework
• Zero Trust Architecture
• Cloud Security
