Position Overview
The Space Development Agency (SDA) is a government acquisition agency under the U.S. Space Force, tasked with rapidly procuring and launching a proliferated Low Earth Orbit (pLEO) constellation, known as the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA), to support Department of Defense (DoD) military operations. Established to be a constructive disruptor within the acquisition community, SDA's mission is to challenge traditional approaches and accelerate the development of space capabilities. The agency's motto, "Semper Citius," which translates to "always faster" in Latin, reflects its culture of prioritizing schedule over cost. To achieve this goal, SDA executes multiple launches, referred to as a "tranche," every two years, deploying hundreds of LEO space vehicles into orbit. Each tranche has a 5-year lifecycle, enabling the agency to deliver low-cost, high-volume capability on a regular cadence, while also allowing for technology refreshes that keep pace with global advancements.
SDA currently has imbedded personnel located at Combatant Commands (CCMDs) but needs additional support organizing and unifying efforts across all CCMDs. The Combatant Command Integration Lead Support is a critical role responsible for ensuring seamless integration of Space Development Agency (SDA) capabilities with the CCMDs and other Joint Force components. This position serves a support to the leader of the CCMD Portfolio for all CCMD embeds, facilitating collaboration, coordination, and synchronization of CCMD embed activities at all commands to support SDA rapid adoption.
