Position Overview
The Cloud Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for executing software testing activities in support of cloud-based and data-driven solutions. This role works as part of a QA and development team to validate system functionality, identify defects, and ensure overall product quality in alignment with mission requirements.
The Engineer performs functional, regression, and integration testing, and supports automated test execution within established frameworks. They contribute to maintaining test cases, documenting results, and supporting defect tracking and resolution. This role follows established QA processes and collaborates with Automation Engineers, developers, and QA team members to ensure consistent and reliable testing outcomes.
The Engineer III is expected to build proficiency in cloud-based testing environments and modern QA tools while contributing to continuous improvement of testing practices within the team.

Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience executing software testing activities within a project or development team.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable contractor fitness determination
- Experience working in cloud-based environments and supporting testing of modern applications.
- Ability to execute functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Experience supporting automated test execution using existing tools and frameworks.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Experience documenting defects, tracking issues, and supporting resolution processes.
- Ability to follow established QA processes, standards, and testing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and clearly document issues.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Basic familiarity with test automation concepts and tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or similar).
- Strong written communication skills for documenting test cases, results, and defects.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow in modern QA and cloud testing practices.
- Ability to manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
