Paraeducator (Classroom Assistant)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM-3:30 PM
Lunch: 30-minute unpaid break (off-campus permitted; punctual return required)
Position Overview

We are is seeking a dedicated Paraeducator to support a small classroom of four students with special needs. Working closely with a certified teacher, the Paraeducator will assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), provide academic and behavioral support, and assist with physical or medical needs as necessary.

The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, and skilled in communication and documentation. This position requires strict adherence to confidentiality standards and consistent punctuality. Please note: the district enforces a one-time warning policy regarding tardiness or falsification of time records.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to individual students or small groups
• Assist with implementing academic, behavioral, and physical accommodations outlined in IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers to track student progress and achievement of goals
• Document student strengths, challenges, progress, and areas of concern
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and sensitive information
• Support students with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and monitoring medical conditions, as required

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Updated resume
• Pennsylvania Clearances:
  • Act 34 - PA Criminal Background Check
  • Act 114 - FBI Fingerprint Background Check (UEID code available)
  • Act 151 - PA Child Abuse Clearance
  • Act 168 - Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure (required after hire; not needed to start)
