The Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO) in Albuquerque, NM is searching for a well-qualified candidate to fill the System Security Manger position for SpRCO. Description of Position:
Serves as System Security Manager for the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO). The primary purpose of the position is to provide the organization and the Director with objective security policy and guidance/analyst for making National Space investment decisions and adjustments for highly classified US space programs, by accomplishing a wide variety of assignments concerning various information, physical, administrative and communications security protocols. Special emphasis is placed on streamlined program execution that accelerates delivery of operational capability to the warfighter in a responsive and timely manner.

Position Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day cybersecurity aspects of information systems to include acquisition, configuration, deployment, and maintenance supporting the organization’s internal networks. Cybersecurity expert for acquisition strategies, performing information systems architecture assessments, setting organizational system security policies per DoW and NIST guidance standards, and ensuring acquisition programs’ system-of-systems employment concepts meet cybersecurity and mission requirements.
• Provides technical oversight of contractors and other government personnel performing Information System Security Officer and Engineer (ISSM/ISSE, respectively) duties, software management, and other cybersecurity functional areas that directly support acquisition program management. Ensures continuous monitoring and assessment readiness of internal network(s) and directs system and security mitigation activities as identified in audit reporting.
• Acquires and manages the necessary resources, including leadership support, financial resources, and key cybersecurity personnel, to support information technology (IT) security goals and objectives and reduce overall organization risk. Advises SpRCO leadership and Authorizing Official(s) on risk levels, security posture, and changes affecting the organization’s cybersecurity posture.

Desired Skills/Expertise:

• Knowledge of information systems, networks, cyber assurance, incident response, and technical operations.

• Knowledge of information system security architectures in order to direct cybersecurity effects.

• Ability to develop and assess information systems security and data dissemination architectures for networked applications.

• Ability to identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities/risks and develop timely, economical and innovative solutions using approved government procurement policies and methods.

• Ability to plan, organize, and forecast work as well as perform effectively as a team member.

• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key individuals/groups within and outside immediate work unit including field-level representatives.

• Obtain the foundational qualification requirements within 9 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role in accordance with DoDI 8140.02.

• Ability to review National Information Assurance Partnership and Evaluated Product Lists to ensure information system equipment and software are approved for purchase. Coordinates with Enterprise network cybersecurity personnel to obtain clarification on equipment to meet SpRCO requirements.

• Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.

Qualification Requirements:

• Positive Education required, transcripts must be provided

Conditions of Employment:
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance
• Position requires current or pre-employment drug testing
• Occasional travel away from regular duty location may be required.
• May be required to work irregular duty hours including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Employees may be subject to an initial or subsequent polygraph as a condition of employment

**Value of Position (VOP): If your current basic salary is within the band, but above the stated VOP, your basic salary will not be reduced if you are selected for the position.
