Systems Administrator
Location: Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, New Mexico
Relocation Assistance: None provided
Remote/Telework: On-site. This position may require shiftwork and support during operations, exercises, and conferences.
Clearance Required: Top-Secret/SCI (Secret with TS/SCI eligibility will be considered)
Work Schedule: Full-time
Travel: CONUS/OCONUS travel may be required

Position Summary
In support of the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) contract, this position supports the Department of Defense's navigation warfare mission to ensure positioning, navigation, and timing superiority. The team provides combatant commanders and joint force commanders with subject matter expertise on planning and conducting NAVWAR by delivering knowledge of friendly and enemy NAVWAR Order of Battle and PNT-related successes and threats.

Description of Duties

• Support the DevOps team by providing routine OS, software, and application support.
• Track, version, deploy, and roll back database changes to production and development databases.
• Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
• Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgraded IT infrastructure.
• Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
• Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance.
• Configure databases to meet cybersecurity requirements, ensure regulatory compliance, and adhere to database best practices.
• Automate and standardize repetitive tasks with version-controlled scripts and procedures.
• Analyze and write complex queries to support gathering metrics, troubleshooting application issues, and diagnosing performance issues.
• Work closely with members of the development, test, and operations teams to troubleshoot build breaks, enforce software quality standards, and support deployment of the application to non-production and production environments.
• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Support operations, exercises, and conferences as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must have an active Secret Security Clearance
• 5-7 years of relevant Systems Administration experience
• BA/BS in a related field
• Must have either CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or an equivalent certification

Desired Qualifications

• Prior leadership or management experience
• active Top-Secret/ SCI Security Clearance

Compensation
Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 annually. Final compensation is based on experience, education, and directly relevant certifications.
