Truestone, is looking for a Supply Technician to work in Tobyhanna, PA. This full-time position requires a US Citizen able to obtain a government DoD clearance to the Secret level. (note: this process can delay the start until the interim is obtained)

Responsibilities

  • Uses a thorough knowledge of supply regulations and policies to perform a wide variety of complex assignments related to maintaining specialized property accounts and records, completing individual transactions, providing customer assistance, screening reference files, conducting data searches, and distributing output files.
  • Updates databases to reflect specialized or reconstructed information.
  • Conducts extensive and exhaustive database searches to retrieve and use data in response to various questions or problems, and to resolve data discrepancies.
  • Identifies reasons for transaction errors and failures.
  • Resolves a wide variety of individual case problems.
  • Inputs screening requests to obtain logistics data on existing national stock numbers.
  • Uses a thorough knowledge of supply regulations and policies to prepare recurring and special reports and to compile statistics from data requiring substantial reformulation.
  • Conducts extensive and exhaustive searches for information and extracts and assembles data from files and other records.
  • Selects best sources from which to obtain information.
  • Compiles statistical, status and other supply information.
  • Compiles special reports in response to customer requests.
  • Reconstructs records in support of complex transactions.
  • Verifies quantifiable information by resolving discrepancies or explaining departures from prior patterns.
  • Work is primarily sedentary.
  • Employee may sit comfortably to do the work.
  • There may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items such as paper books, or small parts.
  • No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
  • Employee typically works indoors in an environment involving everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices or meeting rooms.
  • Observances of normal safety practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and compliance with fire regulations are required.
  • The area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
  • Operates 2,000-to-6,000-pound capacity forklifts to load, unload, stack, unstack, re- warehouse, and move boxes, crates, packages, pallets, or loose items; regulates forks and truck movement, exercising care to avoid overloading or improper stacking or movement of supplies and materials; performs drivers' maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.
  • Operates forklift capable of lifting 15,000 pounds as high as 168 inches to move, load, unload, transfer, transport, stack or unstack palletized goods, boxes, crates, merchandise, materials, and supplies from one location to another.
  • Operates electric, diesel, or gasoline powered forklifts capable of lifting 10,000 pounds or more to a height of 212 inches to load, unload, stack, unstack, warehouse, and move shelters, conex, crates, boxes, packages, pallets and palletized materials or loose items.
  • Operates indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions working in outside storage areas and confined shop spaces.
  • Picks up and delivers materials and equipment according to instructions and knowledge of storage and work sites, delivery and pickup points and their locations.
  • Fills out daily equipment log.
  • Stands, bends and reaches while performing work inside warehouses, in bin rooms, in open storage areas, and on receiving and shipping docks and platforms in areas that may be cold, drafty, damp, or hot.
  • Possibility of injury from falling or dropping stock, of stacks toppling or loads shifting because of improper loading.
  • May be exposed to cuts, bruises, and lacerations from falling boxes, etc.
  • Verifies materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
  • Stores, stacks, or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
  • Examines stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.
  • Removes material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
  • Receives, identifies, examines, and determines destination acceptability of items from a variety of supply sources.
  • Requires HAZMAT training for any transporting of hazardous materials or waste.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen with able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Must be willing to travel if needed (up to 25%).
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test prior to start.
  • Minimum of 1 year doing Supply Technician work including Inventory Reconciliation (preferred).
  • Must be able to follow both written and oral instructions.
  • Must be computer literate and able to function with basic MS Office applications, SAP programs, research, data input, etc.
  • Need to have the ability to work first, second or third shift.
  • Have a valid state DOT driver's license in order to access base and if require operate company vehicles if and when needed.
  • Proven experience with multiple types of forklifts.
  • Be able to obtain a TYAD operating permit.
  • Be familiar with transporting HAZMAT.
  • Be able to lift and move items weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Be able to operate hand and foot controls which start, turn, and stop forklifts and tractors, or which raise, lower, or tilt the load on the forklift.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry equipment that weighs from 10 to 40 pounds.
  • May be required to wear protective equipment such as safety glasses, earplugs, and etc.
  • Must be able to work on hard surfaces and in work areas that requires standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
