Program Security Specialist (TS/SCI)

Our client is seeking a Program Security Specialist to support highly sensitive DoD programs operating in TS/SCI environments. This role serves as a trusted security advisor to senior leadership, ensuring classified programs remain compliant, protected, and mission ready.
The position supports program security operations across multiple domains, including physical, personnel, information, and industrial security, while working closely with government security offices and program leadership.

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a security subject matter expert supporting classified DoD programs
• Provide guidance to government security personnel and program leadership on security compliance and best practices
• Support and facilitate government inspections, audits, and security reviews
• Manage security program execution across PHYSEC, INFOSEC, PERSEC, and INDUSEC domains
• Oversee Program Access Requests (PARs), SCI nominations, and access management processes
• Maintain sponsorship and oversight of SCI-indoctrinated personnel across mission partner facilities
• Conduct security vulnerability assessments during acquisition and development phases
• Review and update Security Classification Guides (SCGs) and program security documentation
• Develop and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and deliver workforce training
• Lead Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) initiatives to strengthen security culture
• Investigate and report security incidents and support corrective actions
Required Qualifications
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• 10+ years of Department of Defense security experience
• Demonstrated experience across PHYSEC, INFOSEC, PERSEC, and INDUSEC
• Experience supporting classified program environments and government security organizations
• Strong understanding of DoD security policies, compliance requirements, and inspection processes
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to brief leadership and government stakeholders
Education & Certifications
• Master’s degree (MA, MS, ME, or equivalent)
• Relevant experience may substitute for formal education
Preferred Certifications:
• CDSE Security Specialist Course
• Security Professional Education Development (SPēD) certification
