Program Overview
The EMO and SCINet Program of Record (PoR) aims to deliver comprehensive support services in areas such as program management, logistics, asset management, engineering, customer service, testing, training, financial management, information assurance, cybersecurity, and 24/7 operations. The contractor will directly assist EMO and SCINet teams, which include various roles from intelligence and cybersecurity to operations and data management. EMO is responsible for the engineering, production, and life cycle support of systems, ensuring interoperability and mission effectiveness through strategic planning and timely technical improvements. Additionally, EMO plays a crucial role in the joint engineering and procurement of future intelligence systems within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community, providing integrated and scalable capabilities for Marine forces to effectively respond to crisis environments.
Overview
SYSTEMS ENGINEER / VTC OPERATOR | TIER III (MIELS):
SSI is seeking Systems Engineer / VTC Operator to support a customer in Quantico, VA. Support for the contract will consist of program management; logistics; asset management; engineering; customer service; research and development of new capabilities; test and evaluation; manpower, training, and personnel; new equipment fielding and training; financial management; information assurance; cybersecurity; and 24X7 enterprise services operations and sustainment.
Responsibilities
• Installation, configuration, operation, maintenance and create / update system package artifacts for Tactical AV located in Hawaii.
• Voice over IP (VoIP) systems
• Video conferencing systems
• Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) solutions
• Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunking
• Voice and video network architecture
• Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) management
• Security and compliance for unified communications systems
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, or 10+ years’ of practical experience in voice and video management
• Five (5+) years’ experience in unified communications, with a focus on voice and video systems.
• Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols, including SIP, H.323, and MGCP.
• Experience with video conferencing systems, including Cisco TelePresence and Ploycom RealPresence.
• Familiarity with unified communications platforms, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Microsoft Skype for Business.
• Strong understanding of network architecture and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with QoS and QoE management tools, including Cisco QoS and NetIQ.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• CCNP Voice or CCIE Voice certification.
• CCNP Collaboration or CCIE Collaboration certification.
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) in Skype for Business.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Routing and Switching.
• Preferred: 7+ years’ experience in Video Audio engineering environment management.
• Preferred: DoD 8570 / 8140 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required.
• Preferred: Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified.
• Preferred: Cloud certified.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level with the ability to obtain a Counter Intelligence Polygraph. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
