I’m reaching out regarding an opening on our Fully Remote Accounts Payable Coordination team. This role supports an internal shared-services group working across multiple government programs and offers long-term stability in a collaborative environment. Position: Accounts Payable Coordinator Location: Fully Remote Clearance: Secret preferred, not required Salary: $55K–$65K Responsibilities: Receive, review, and process vendor invoices and check requests, ensuring compliance with purchase orders, contracts, and government specifications (including three-way matching). Ensure transactions and documentation comply with FAR, FTR, JTR, GAAP, and internal accounting policies and procedures. Prepare and process payment runs (ACH, checks, wire transfers), prioritizing payments to avoid penalties and capture discounts. Prepare weekly accounts payable aging reports to manage timely payments. Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9 verification and proper IRS 1099 classification for year-end reporting. Serve as a primary point of contact for internal teams and vendors regarding payment status, policies, and issue resolution. Perform reconciliations for all corporate credit cards. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required 2–4 years of accounts payable experience; government contracting experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of AP principles, governmental accounting standards, and FAR At least 2 years of experience with integrated accounting systems (e.g., JAMIS) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage high transaction volumes If applicable, a post-employment ethics letter is required for former U.S. government employees Preferred: 2+ years of JAMIS experience Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
