Our client is seeking a Male Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide one‑to‑one support for an 11‑year‑old male middle school student. The student is academically advanced but requires assistance with behavioral regulation, emotional support, impulsivity, and ADHD‑related challenges. The PCA will work directly with teachers and support staff to promote engagement, independence, and safety throughout the school day.

Responsibilities
- One‑on‑one student support throughout the school day
- Implement individualized education and behavior plans under teacher direction
- Support academic engagement and reinforce classroom goals
- Monitor and manage behavior using approved strategies and school policies
- Use positive behavior supports and redirection to maintain regulation
- Assist with de‑escalation techniques when needed
- Ensure student safety and supervision in all school environments
- Support life‑skills development and social interactions
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks , including toileting and clothing changes if required
- Help with mobility, positioning, and assistive devices
- Facilitate transitions between classes and activities
- Maintain daily documentation of activities, behaviors, and progress
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administrators
- Attend required trainings and meetings
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Ability to support students with ADHD or behavioral needs
- Background in Special Education, Life Skills, Behavioral Health, or Mental Health
- Experience with emotional regulation and behavior‑support strategies
- CPR and First Aid Certification (required before start date)
- PA Child Abuse Clearance
- PA Criminal Background Check
- PA FBI Fingerprinting
- TB Test Results
- Proof of education (diploma or transcripts)
- CPR/First Aid documentation
