Modeling & Simulation Analyst
Location: Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, New Mexico
Clearance Required: DoD Secret minimum, TS/SCI preferred
Position Overview
Aegis Aerospace supports the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) in its critical mission to ensure U.S. and allied positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) superiority in contested, degraded, and denied operational environments. JNWC provides direct NAVWAR expertise to combatant commands and joint force planners across the full spectrum of military operations.
As a Modeling & Simulation Analyst, you will operate at the intersection of navigation warfare, RF effects, and operational analysis. You will develop and apply advanced modeling and simulation capabilities that inform operational planning, training, exercises, and wargames. Your work will directly support the Department of Defense's ability to understand, anticipate, and counter GPS denial and navigation warfare threats in real-world operational scenarios.

Key Responsibilities
- The candidate will work with advanced modeling and simulation environments to conduct technical analyses and assessments supporting navigation warfare operations.
- The candidate will develop recommendations based on simulation outputs and analytical results.
- The candidate will support and maintain system integration laboratories, modeling facilities, and analysis tools.
- The candidate will conduct modeling and simulation activities supporting government-led analyses, exercises, wargames, and experiments.
- The candidate will provide instruction, guidance, and oversight on the proper operation and use of simulation models and exercises.
- The candidate may support live, constructive, or virtual training events.
- The candidate will use RF modeling and simulation software to manipulate antenna and power models to visualize GPS denial effects across operational environments.
- The candidate will demonstrate proficiency with modeling and simulation tools such as GIANT, GIANT RPM, Builder, Systems Tool Kit (STK), or comparable platforms.
- The position may require CONUS and OCONUS travel and shift work in support of operational events, exercises, and conferences.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must possess a current Secret security clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI
- Bachelor's degree in Modeling & Simulation, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 1-10 years of relevant modeling and simulation experience
- Demonstrated experience conducting technical analyses using modeling and simulation tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with limited government oversight
- Ability to function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment
Desired Qualifications
- Active Top-Secret/ SCI security clearance
- Apprentice Certified Modeling & Simulation Professional (CMSP) or equivalent certification
- Prior experience supporting DoD operational analysis, wargames, or training environments
- Experience supporting navigation warfare, PNT, RF, or GPS-related modeling efforts
Security Requirements
- Due to the nature of this position, candidates must successfully complete a government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
