Our client is currently seeking an Elementary level Personal Care Assistant around Eddington, PA area.
Position Title: Personal Care Assistant

Location: Eddington, PA
School Year: 2025-2026
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:50 AM - 3:50 PM
Student Information: This role will support a kindergarten student diagnosed with autism who will spend the majority of the day in a general education classroom.
Position Overview: This School District is seeking one PCA for the 2025-2026 school year. This position provides individualized academic, behavioral, and personal care support to a student with autism, under the guidance of certified staff and case managers.

- Provide 1:1 support for academic instruction, behavior plans, and daily routines.
- Assist with cognitive development, communication, motor skills, and social-emotional learning.
- Support personal care needs including feeding, toileting, hygiene, and mobility.
- Implement positive behavior support strategies aligned with IEP goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure consistent programming.
- Document student progress and daily activities accurately.
- Attend required training sessions on autism support, medical protocols, and instructional strategies.
- Assist with orthopedic equipment and student positioning as needed.
- Encourage positive peer interactions and inclusive classroom participation.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience working with children or students (required)
- Preferred: Experience in Autistic Support, Special Education, or Behavioral/Mental Health settings
- CPR and First Aid certification (must be obtained prior to start date)
Credentialing Requirements (must be current within 12 months):
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
- Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check
- Pennsylvania FBI Fingerprint Clearance
- TB Test Results
- High School Diploma or transcripts
