Position Summary
Threat Tec has an immediate opening for an IT Cybersecurity SME to support our customer at Ft. Eustis, VA.
This role leads a team responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of TRADOC G2 IT systems across cloud and on-premises environments. The IT Cybersecurity SME will combine expertise in software development, IT operations, cloud technologies, and technical program management to deliver secure, reliable, and efficient IT services.
You will collaborate closely with government stakeholders and internal teams to implement IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, enhance cybersecurity posture, and drive cloud adoption and automation across the enterprise.

The IT Cybersecurity SME will combine expertise in software development, IT operations, cloud technologies, and technical program management to deliver secure, reliable, and efficient IT services.
You will collaborate closely with government stakeholders and internal teams to implement IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, enhance cybersecurity posture, and drive cloud adoption and automation across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise staff responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of TRADOC G2 IT systems.
- Provide technical consulting and requirements gathering to implement IT Service Management (ITSM) and ITIL-based processes.
- Serve as mission task lead for multiple IT efforts, including:
- NIPR email account management
- SIPR token management
- SIPR and JWICS access and email account management
- Issuing government cell phones and Wi-Fi hotspot accounts
- Perform Systems Administrator duties managing technology tools, servers, and networked systems.
- Implement Information Assurance (IA) standards to protect data in use, in transit, and at rest.
- Apply strong knowledge of JWICS, RMF/eMASS, and DoD STIGs across cloud, SIPR, and JWICS environments.
- Partner with Enterprise Architects and Cloud Engineering teams to implement an enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO) service, including:
- Gaining enterprise stakeholder support
- Planning application integrations
- Preparing SSO service integration
- Integrating applications and federating access
- Manage implementation of an enterprise Unix/Linux environment to support product development.
- Oversee design and planning of proprietary software that interfaces with the Cloud ERP environment.
- Develop and maintain a scorecard of KPIs to baseline and trend performance across all IT service areas.
- Develop and institute ITIL-aligned Service Level and service management processes across the organization.
- Support enterprise DevSecOps and SDLC standards for an enterprise application development platform.
- Develop and implement automation strategies for OS provisioning, patching, and routine administration tasks.
- Support end-to-end cloud implementations for the TRADOC G2 enterprise, including deployment and maintenance of a custom Azure DevSecOps solution.
- Train and supervise staff on software operations, cloud computing, and enterprise IT practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from a technically accredited four-year college
- A minimum of ten (10) years of related experience
- Must currently hold a DoD 8570-compliant IAT II certification (SSCP or Security+CE with
- appropriate CE/OS certificate) OR
- Must currently hold a DoD 8570-compliant IAM II certification (CAP or CASP CE) or be able to
- obtain within six months outside of work hours
- Must be able to diagnose and solve problems within a computer network
- Have professional communication skills and the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly and
- concisely
- Dedicated to customer support and adopting customer's mission
- Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a strong
- technical foundation in cybersecurity, and the agility to adapt to evolving cybersecurity
- requirements, emerging threats, and countermeasures
- Experience with DOW Test and Evaluation
- Experience with the Test Resource Management Center
- Experience with eMASS and/or Xacta, ACAS/Nessus, SCAP, Benchmarks, STIG Viewer, and
- POA&Ms
- Experience with patching, reviewing system and event logs for operating systems such as
- Windows and Linux
- Experience in reviewing compliance in Microsoft Windows, Red Hat Linux and other operating
- systems in accordance with DISA and NIST requirements
