About the Role
As an Electromagnetic Effects (E3) Engineer, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and validation of E3 requirements and architectures for complex systems, ensuring continued airworthiness and mission readiness.
This role involves working with Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), Lightning, High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF), Precipitation Static, Nuclear Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP), and other E3 environments.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform trade studies, modeling, and simulation to predict and optimize E3 performance.
  • Achieve Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) of electronics, wiring, and structures.
  • Interface with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure system-level E3 compatibility.
  • Support project management with work statements, budgets, schedules, and reviews.
  • Apply EMI engineering principles to document and resolve complex issues.
  • Develop and implement Test Automation for aircraft modifications.
  • Analyze and process engineering data for reporting and decision-making.

Required Qualifications
  • ACTIVE TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Physics, or Physics.
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic concepts such as RF isolation, shielding, grounding, and filtering.
  • 5+ years of related work experience (Career Level).

Preferred Qualifications
  • ABET-accredited Bachelor's or advanced degree (Master's/PhD) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in defense or aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-461/464 and/or DO-160 EMI/EMC standards.
  • Prior experience with aircraft-level E3 requirements and testing.
  • Familiarity with electrical bonding best practices and RF systems.
  • Experience with EMI qualification testing, including reviewing procedures and test reports.
  • Proficiency with computational E3 analytical tools.

An ACTIVE U.S. Government Security Clearance is Required to be considered for this role.
