Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Technician. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player, working closely with classroom support staff to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct behavioral support to a student with autism.
- Assist in managing behaviors including elopement and occasional aggression.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement behavior intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication regarding student progress and incidents.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with autism or behavioral challenges preferred.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
Required Clearances (prior to start):
- Act 114: FBI Fingerprinting (Access Code#: 1KG6XN)
- Act 151: Child Abuse Clearance
- Act 34: PA Criminal History Report
- Act 24: Arrest/Conviction Report
- Act 126: Child Abuse Recognition & Reporting Training (3 hours every 5 years) - Proof of completion required.
- TB Test: Must be dated in accordance with clearance guidance and submitted within 30 days of start date.
