Role Title: Instructional Assistant (1 Opening)
Location: Eddington, PA
Start Date: Immediate
School Year: 2025-2026
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:50 AM - 3:50 PM
Interview Format: Single 15-minute interview
Note: This role includes support with personal care tasks such as changing and toileting.
Team & Role Overview This School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant to join the Kindergarten Autistic Support team at an elementary school. This classroom serves highly engaged, active learners. The Instructional Assistant will work closely with certified educators and case managers to deliver individualized academic, behavioral, and personal care support for students with autism.

Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support for students with autism, focusing on academic engagement, behavioral goals, and daily routines
- Assist in instruction across cognitive, communication, motor, and social-emotional domains
- Support students with personal care needs including feeding, hygiene, toileting, and mobility
- Implement behavior support strategies aligned with IEP goals and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and support staff to ensure consistent programming
- Maintain accurate records of student activities and progress
- Participate in required training sessions related to autism support, medical protocols, and instructional methods
- Assist with orthopedic equipment and student positioning as needed
- Foster inclusive classroom environments and encourage positive peer interactions
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with children or students
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Autistic Support, Special Education, or Behavioral/Mental Health
- CPR and First Aid certification (must be obtained before start date)
Credentialing Requirements (must be current within 12 months)
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
- Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check
- Pennsylvania FBI Fingerprint Clearance
- TB Test Results
- High School Diploma or Transcripts
- CPR/First Aid Certification
