Codescratch is currently seeking a self-motivated and talented DevOps Engineer to build cutting-edge analytics and tools in support of the cyber mission space. The ideal candidate will be an experienced DevOps engineer with a strong foundation in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality solutions. Collaboration and innovation are at the core of this role, requiring a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.

*This position allows for a hybrid schedule but requires candidates to be local for hybrid travel to the Columbia, MD area.*

Key Responsibilities:

Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code to deploy services in an on-prem environment using IaC tools such as Ansible.
The DevOps Engineer will play a key role in monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing proactive measures to prevent service disruptions.
Administering and upholding infrastructure on-prem.
Facilitating the development and deployment of infrastructure of various products on on-prem hardware.
Design, implement, and manage on-premises deployments of physical hardware systems.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline processes and improve system performance.
Automate deployment and configuration management for physical infrastructure.
Monitor and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring optimal system performance.
Maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Participate in regular security assessments and compliance audits.
Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes specific to on-prem hardware.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware systems with existing software solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of Five years of hands-on experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Assurance, or related discipline from an accredited college/university.
One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.
Relevant certifications may be substituted for education or years of experience
Strong understanding of on-premises infrastructure management.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus) for hardware and software systems.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Experience enforcing project DevOps processes to ensure consistency of deployments
U.S. citizenship required
Active TS/SCI w. Polygraph clearance required
Must be local to, or willing to relocate to the DMV Metropolitan area
Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience in the DoD/Cyber Security industry is highly desirable.
Knowledge of networking protocols and hardware configurations.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) in a non-cloud environment.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines in a containerized environment.
Experience with Virtual Machines
Experience monitoring application performance with metrics (Prometheus, InfluxDB, Grafana) and logs with ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana)
Have, or obtain Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II certification

Salary Range

Pay range $150,000 - $230,000 (Plus medical and other Benefits).
