Short Summary about Job:
HukariAscendent is seeking an experienced Science-Engineer Program Manager 4 to support critical plutonium mission consolidated support operations. This role involves providing strategic vision and tactical planning for a portfolio overseeing approximately $400M of scope executed by multiple organizations. The ideal candidate will have expert-level program management skills and the ability to work across organizational boundaries to ensure consistent, efficient, and standardized operations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering related field from an accredited institution and 12 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and technical experience directly related to the occupation
Expert-level knowledge of program and project management methodologies, including development of project plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), and work packages
Proven experience in managing scope, schedule, budget, and performance baselines, along with documentation of baseline reports and change control activities
Demonstrated expertise in risk management, including identifying portfolio risks, developing mitigation strategies, and monitoring progress of mitigation plans
Strong ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience facilitating program status reviews and engaging leadership to report on progress and drive accountability
Experience mentoring junior staff on program planning, performance tracking, and execution of deliverables
Ability to apply strategic, cross-disciplinary insight to contribute to comprehensive, integrated annual planning
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced engineering or science degree with experience related to nuclear materials production and process development
Working understanding of plutonium missions and production agency operations
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience utilizing EVMS principles
Active DOE Q clearance
Experience working with classified information/rednet account
Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, organize, lead, and monitor team efforts to completion
Advanced expertise in developing and executing process improvement initiatives
Willingness to take initiative on new tasks or projects
