System Administration (Windows)
Clearance: TS/SCI
Location: Onsite, no remote/hybrid options at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX
Shift: 3PM-11PM
Salary: 90-110K
Overview
SSi is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to provide Windows Server support for the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) III Support Program at Lackland Air Force Base. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and securing Microsoft-based environments, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity standards.
Responsibilities
• Manage and monitor Microsoft Windows Server environments and related systems on both classified and unclassified networks.
• Create and analyze capacity and performance reports to ensure optimal system efficiency.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize server hardware and software operations.
• Conduct annual DISA STIG compliance checks and ensure all systems meet DoD cybersecurity standards.
• Develop and implement system improvements, including tuning, patching, upgrading, and hardening Windows-based servers.
• Support and maintain core Windows infrastructure components, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS, Certificate Services, AD Federation Services, Key Management Services, MECM, and WSUS.
• Document system configurations, updates, and processes, ensuring accurate records and compliance with security requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze system performance issues and recommend effective solutions.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in systems administration.
• High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification required.
• Must hold one of the following Microsoft certifications:
o Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, or
o Microsoft Certified: Information Security Administrator Associate.
• Proven experience installing, testing, maintaining, hardening, upgrading, and documenting physical and virtual Windows Server environments.
• Strong understanding of system design, implementation, and support for Microsoft core services.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret clearance and SCI access (TS/SCI).
