Position Overview:
Edgesource is actively hiring for a Sr. Proposal Writer with a specific focus on business opportunities in the Intelligence Community. This position can support a hybrid work schedule with 3-4 days being performed onsite at our facility in Chantilly, VA.

Position Overview:

Job Duties:
- Craft compelling technical proposal narratives that incorporate both existing content and new inputs from SMEs, in alignment with strategic proposal objectives.
- Own technical proposal content development for assigned sections, from inception to final review.
- Independently gather, organize, and synthesize information from diverse stakeholders, including those from sales, engineering, solutions architecture, and other organizations.
- Contribute to proposal overall solutioning and strategy development sessions, asking clarifying questions to proactively guide content development.
- Translate complex technical solutions, strategies, and win themes into easily understandable, readable, and compelling content.
- Engage with technical SMEs to extract pertinent information, conducting internal interviews as necessary to gather content for government responses.
- Participate in color team reviews, working autonomously to gather and refine content for senior-level evaluations.
- Track industry IT trends, company successes, and proactively plan for new content.
Required Qualifications:
- Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.
- 7+ years of experience in technical proposal writing and editing, with a focus on content creation, RFI responses, and white papers within the Intelligence Community.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with technical SMEs to gather and synthesize complex information.
- Strong working knowledge of the proposal development process using Shipley methodology, including technical volume narratives, price volumes, and past performance documentation.
- Proven ability to understand complex technical concepts and convert them into persuasive proposal narratives.
- Ability to think critically and draw from resources to create simple, unified, and persuasive documents.
- Strong attention-to-detail with the ability to review and edit proposal content for compliance, clarity, and proper use of terminology.
- Self-motivated, and able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Experience with knowledge management practices, including the upkeep and organization of documentation for future use.
- Demonstrable mastery of the English written language including spelling, composition, and grammar.
- Strong proofreading and editing skills.
- Must have Advanced Microsoft Word skills and have extensive experience with all other Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint), as well as Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask with numerous high priority demands in a deadline-driven environment.
Desired Qualifications (NOT REQUIRED):
- Shipley training or APMP Proposal management certification.
- Willingness to provide billable project support as well as proposal support.
