Linux Systems Administrator
Location: Linthicum Heights, MD
Clearance: Active TS/SCI with FSP (Within last 5 - 6 years)
DeNOVO Solutions is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support the systems infrastructure needed by the government in the development of various applications. Systems Administrators will work with teams of engineers and developers in a technical capacity as part of the role. This position will play a critical role in supporting the systems security and infrastructure for the program to achieve the government’s objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a Linux systems administrator for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of
various physical and virtual servers...
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Support client/server/storage/network/mobile device operations and monitoring.
• Optimize system operations and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Configure and manage RHEL operating systems, including installation, network configuration, and
system performance enhancements.
Required Education and Experience:
• At least ten (10) years of IT experience and three (3) years of Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, UNIX, etc) system administration experience
• Knowledge of physical and virtual servers and experience in building/maintaining VMware environments
• Experience researching and creating solutions to close IAVA’s
• Ansible experience, automation experience
• IAT Level II (such as a CompTIA Security + CE Certification)
Desired Experience:
• AWS Cloud experience
• Scripting experience (Python/Perl)
• Docker containerization experience
