Overview: Join a mission-critical program supporting national security as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated security professional to support a large-scale software development and IT operations program. This role encompasses software maintenance and development, IT support, systems integration, enterprise application development, and comprehensive information systems security. As an ISSO, you will collaborate with a team of elite cybersecurity professionals to develop and implement strategies that detect and mitigate threats, protect critical data, and ensure compliance with federal security standards.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:


Minimum 20 years of experience as an ISSO, independently or on teams managing secure systems in various environments.

At least 5 years of experience with IAVA management tools.

At least 5 years of experience preparing and managing SSPs and related documentation.

Expertise in security tools, hardware/software security implementation, encryption, and communication protocols.

Proven experience conducting security evaluations of software systems and architectures.

Demonstrated ability to enforce security policies and methodologies on large-scale IT programs.

Strong background in day-to-day security operations of complex systems.

High level of initiative, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative team mindset.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires all candidates to be U.S . Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.

Responsibilities


Enforce and implement information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.

Evaluate and recommend security solutions to meet multi-domain information processing requirements.

Support configuration management (CM) for security-relevant software, hardware, and firmware.

Analyze threats and implement best practices for incident detection, reporting, and remediation.

Maintain detailed records of system components including servers, routers, firewalls, and workstations.

Ensure systems maintain an appropriate operational security posture.

Assist the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in maintaining IA posture across systems and enclaves.

Develop and maintain Certification & Accreditation (C&A) documentation in accordance with federal guidelines.

Create and update System Security Plans (SSPs) and related documentation.

Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms.
