Job Title: GCCS Engineer
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Overview:
We are seeking a GCCS Engineer to support the configuration, implementation, and sustainment of GCCS-J software and systems. This role will also involve developing courseware, delivering operator training to U.S. and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) personnel, and providing technical expertise and system support to users in Colorado Springs, NATO, and various FMS partner locations.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with government and contractor personnel to coordinate operations, maintenance, and sustainment activities.
Assist with the design, analysis, and recommendation of hardware and software solutions to meet mission requirements.
Travel up to 50% annually to support partner nation and Combatant Command (CCMD) locations.
Conduct on-site sustainment activities including system checkouts, updates, firmware upgrades, and documentation maintenance.
Provide remote system support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and communication issues while documenting solutions and preventative measures.
Respond to system outages and ensure resolution in accordance with program requirements.
Provide maintenance and sustainment support for system and equipment issues.
Support emergency sustainment travel to customer locations as needed.
Plan, develop, and deliver GCCS-J familiarization training for CCMD and FMS customers.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in systems administration, Tactical Combat Operations, and GCCS.
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP).
Ability to travel domestically and internationally (four or more trips per year); must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.
Strong knowledge of virtualization concepts and platforms (VMware, Hyper-V); Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and current Microsoft operating systems (Server & Workstation).
Familiarity with Oracle/Sybase/Postgres database maintenance; Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss); and Linux/UNIX applications and services (NFS, SSH, NTP, LDAP, HTTP, Ansible).
Experience working in joint/coalition or partner nation environments and exercises.
RHEL8 experience preferred.
