We are seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one support for a 7th-grade student with Down syndrome. This is a vital role focused on implementing behavior interventions to teach communication, social, and daily living skills. The ideal candidate will be patient, compassionate, and skilled in managing aggressive behaviors and providing bathroom assistance.
You will report directly to the BCBA/Supervisor of Special Education and the Building Principal.

Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to:
- Build a positive and therapeutic relationship with the student.
- Prompt safe and socially acceptable behaviors to replace problematic ones.
- Increase the frequency of appropriate behaviors by providing reinforcement.
- Accurately collect and document behavioral data, including A-B-C, frequency, duration, and other key metrics.
- Follow the student's treatment plan and interventions with sound judgment.
- Collaborate with the family and treatment team to ensure effective support.
- Educate parents and other stakeholders on the principles of ABA and your role.
Required Experience, Education, and Credentials
- A minimum of two years of completed coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or a related field.
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

- School Personnel Health Form (Physical and TB test)
