Summary:

The Engagement Support Specialist will lead the planning and execution of high-profile command visits and strategic engagements involving senior military officials, Congressional representatives, and private-sector partners. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders to deliver seamless, impactful events that showcase command capabilities and priorities.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:
  • Organize requests and invitations, in collaboration with Public Affairs Office and other command leadership, for command visits from senior military, Government Congressional personnel, and private-sector partner targets.
  • Design visits, secure post locations, and create an agenda outline for the specific programs and products to be showcased during the visit.
  • Distribute official event correspondence to staff and/or SMEs / participants, to include invitations and agendas, all registration forms, hotel reservations and confirmation numbers & reminders pertaining to any event.
  • Manage and coordinate various meetings to include, but not limited to, securing meeting space or demo space for SMEs, serving as the Point of Contact (POC) for all attendee communications, scheduling required vendors, and on-site management including registration, check-in, and protocol.
  • Conduct pre-visit preparation and day-of-event set up and break down.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong event planning and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Familiarity with military protocol and government engagement practices
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event coordination tools
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact with senior leadership and VIPs

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, or related field OR equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in event planning, stakeholder engagement, or protocol coordination
  • Demonstrated ability to manage logistics for high-level visits and meetings
  • Experience working with government or military organizations
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting DoD, DHA, or federal government engagements
  • Familiarity with Congressional protocols and private-sector partnership coordination
  • Knowledge of military installation operations and security procedures
  • Certification in event planning or protocol management
  • Experience with digital event platforms or hybrid event coordination


Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000 annually.
