The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join our dynamic team, where the ideal candidate will be responsible for the successful delivery of customer-defined, technical, and security-related software projects by actively leading and coaching the Agile Release Train (ART) through the entire software development process using the SAFe framework.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), overseeing activities associated with the delivery of software projects.
  • Interface with client personnel using exceptional oral and written communication skills to foster strong working relationships and ensure transparency with stakeholders, including product management, epic owners, product owners, and enterprise architects.
  • Act as the chief scrum master by coaching teams on SAFe agile best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coach SAFe agile processes, protect teams from deviations from the approved plan, coordinate dependencies, risks, and impediments to ensure seamless delivery and celebrate team successes
  • Coordinate dependencies, risks, and impediments across the agile release train to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Support relentless improvement by identifying gaps and facilitating the implementation of process improvements while maintaining the culture and fluidity of the program for all teams.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive team process documentation to ensure alignment and understanding of processes and improvements.
  • Support the development of product roadmaps, including development operations and security.
  • Plan and execute Program Increment (PI) Planning activities with the customer to ensure effective planning and execution of the next program increment.
  • Capture and maintain key metrics for customers, programs, and teams to understand, meet, and exceed technical performance and objectives.
  • Facilitate the Agile Release Train (ART) by vetting incoming work items, tracking work throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), identifying and managing impediments, and successfully delivering value to the end user.
  • Ensure product quality and the timeliness of efforts.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Secret clearance is required to begin employment and must be maintained as a requirement of continued employment
  • Detail and process-oriented
  • Experienced with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate solutions effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Team Player
  • SAFe Certified


Desired:
  • Experience using Digital.ai Agility/Version One
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer 6.0 Certified
  • Understanding of agile software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, DevSecOps, and release management
  • Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) applications

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$75,200-$158,100
