Position Overview:
Edgesource is seeking a highly skilled Systems Architect - Sensor Integration to help lead the design and development of advanced solutions for complex application challenges. This role involves architecting across APIs, data services, platform services, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise systems to meet mission requirements while aligning with overarching Enterprise Architecture and strategic objectives. This position requires job duties to be performed full-time onsite at the client facility in Chantilly, VA.


Job Duties:

  • Provide expert guidance in the design, development, documentation, and maintenance of solution architectures, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture and traceability to enterprise-level requirements.
  • Lead the analysis of user needs, workflows, and operational procedures to modernize and improve existing systems and assess technical feasibility, system capabilities, and resource constraints.
  • Recommend and develop architectural modifications and enhancements based on evolving user requirements, new technologies, and enterprise priorities.
  • Review and guide architectural changes to ensure they are strategically sound and technically viable.
  • Oversee and coordinate the efforts of Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level Systems Architect contractors to ensure cohesive and high-quality architectural solutions.
  • Serve as a key advisor to Government stakeholders on system architecture decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise goals.


Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Imagery Analysis, or a related STEM field, or related equivalent additional experience of 4 years with no degree or 2 years with a non-STEM degree.
  • 18+ years of experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), or Intelligence Community's (IC) Program Architecture Guidance (PAG).
  • Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience.
  • Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the Cameo architecture tool, or similar tools.
  • Experience with or in-depth understanding of MBSE.


Desired Qualifications (NOT REQUIRED):

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
  • Federated Enterprise Architect Certifications: Certified Enterprise Architect
  • National Defense University, College of Information and Cyberspace, Enterprise Architecture Certification
