Everything these candidates will do is with proposals (Front end of the Contract). They do everything pre-award. Once the proposal is awarded, it goes to another division. They only handle the front end.

1) Cost/Pricing Analyst III
• Use extensive contracting and pricing experience and recognized judgment in providing counsel to other specialists regarding the resolution of technical issues and practical advice on proceeding under specific circumstances.
• Utilize knowledge of federal, DoD, and Air Force contracting and pricing regulations, policies, and processes for specific situations.
• Assist Contracting Officers in determining cost objectives and ensure they are based on sound pricing principles. Act as the primary cost/price analyst on extremely complex or sensitive contracting issues.
• When required, serve on short-term and long-term teams to deal with specific or unprecedented pricing issues.
• Serve as the technical expert in pricing-related matters.
• Review and evaluate contract price proposals for adequacy and compliance with laws, regulations, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
• Conduct in depth analytical and judgmental evaluation of proposals to determine reasonableness, accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.
• Manage significant and complex agency acquisitions involving diverse supplies and services.
• Evaluate technical, audit reports, and legal opinions to determine the various cost elements or justified exceptions in terms of factors like risk, extent of government assistance, problems of capital investment, and extent of subcontracting.
• 10+ years of relevant DoD/IC or relevant industry work experience with no less than 2 years of experience in an SAP and/or SCI environment with at least 1 year of that total being within the past 5 years.
• Master of Art/Master of Science/Master of Engineering (MA/MS/ME) degree required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Proficient in classified accounting systems; Momentum preferred
2) Cost/Pricing Analyst II
The Cost/Pricing Analyst II supports the Chief of Pricing in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of cost and pricing proposals for Air Force acquisitions. Serving as the primary analyst for complex or sensitive contracts, this role advises Contracting Officers, evaluates proposals, and applies Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal, DoD, and Air Force pricing regulations to support mission-critical procurement efforts.
Responsibilities
• Provide expert guidance to procurement staff on complex cost and pricing issues.
• Evaluate contract proposals for compliance, accuracy, reasonableness, and completeness.
• Lead cost/price analysis for high-stakes contracts, determining pricing strategies and objectives.
• Advise on best practices and collaborate with Contracting Officers to establish sound cost objectives.
• Participate in short- and long-term teams addressing unique acquisition pricing challenges.
• Perform detailed analyses and develop pricing documentation using advanced Excel skills.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• BA/BS in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant DoD, IC, or industry experience, including 1 year in a SAP or SCI environment within the past 5 years.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; eligible for CI Poly.
