Trainer

Each trainer will be responsible for leading in-person and/or virtual training sessions within their assigned borough.
Key Duties
Training Delivery
  • Conduct multiple sessions per day/week (as needed) based on training requirements, both virtually and in-person, depending on the borough's needs.
  • Facilitate interactive, engaging sessions using hands-on exercises, demonstrations, and real-world use cases aligned with DOE objectives.
  • Provide individualized assistance during sessions to address participant challenges or questions.
Customization of Training
  • Adapt training materials for different user groups (e.g., teachers, administrators, staff) based on role and technical proficiency.
  • Include relevant, practical examples that participants can apply to daily tasks.
User Engagement and Assessment
  • Implement pre- and post-training knowledge checks and surveys to measure learning progress.
  • Encourage interaction through discussions, Q&A, and role-playing exercises.
  • Collect and report participant feedback to the Lead Coordinator for analysis and improvements.
Reporting and Documentation
  • Maintain records of all training activities, including attendance, feedback, and follow-up needs.
  • Submit weekly reports to the Lead Coordinator detailing session counts, participation metrics, and any issues encountered.
Ongoing Support
  • Provide post-training assistance via virtual office hours or email to resolve participant challenges.
  • Troubleshoot application-related issues, escalating complex problems to the Lead Coordinator or DOE IT support as needed.
Minimum Requirements

Experience:
  • 3+ years delivering in-person and virtual training sessions, with a focus on engaging and interactive content.

Skills:
  • Ability to customize training materials for varied user groups with different technical proficiency levels.
  • Proven post-training support and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience tracking and reporting training metrics (attendance, engagement, feedback).
  • Strong communication skills for explaining complex concepts clearly and relatably.
  • Proficiency in training tools and virtual delivery platforms.
  • Skill in fostering a dynamic learning environment through interactive exercises.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities for documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, maintaining alignment with project goals.
