We are hiring Personal Care Assistants for the upcoming '25/'26 school year.

About the Program:
  • Autistic Support : Designed for students from kindergarten through age 21 who have not found success in traditional Autistic Support classrooms. This program focuses on academic, functional, and behavioral development, with the goal of reintegration into the home school district or transition to a community-based setting.
  • Emotional Support : Serves students in grades K-12 who face behavioral challenges in traditional school environments. The program provides academic, functional, emotional, and behavioral support to help students return to their home districts.
  • Integrated Emotional Support at CEC : Tailored for students with dual diagnoses, such as Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, and Other Health Impairments. This program offers a low student-to-staff ratio and individualized instruction, focusing on behavioral support and academic growth at each student's ability level.

Position Details:
  • Shifts Available :
    • 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Monday-Friday, 30-minute unpaid break)
    • 8:30 AM - 3:15 PM (Monday-Friday, 30-minute unpaid break)
  • Grade Levels : Elementary, Middle, or High School (preferences will be considered)
  • Responsibilities :
    • Provide academic and behavioral support under the direction of a case manager or behaviorist
    • Assist with personal care needs (feeding, toileting, positioning, hygiene)
    • Support students in developing cognitive, motor, and self-help skills
    • Monitor and manage student behavior
    • Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and support staff
    • Maintain records and implement behavior intervention plans
    • Attend required training and in-services
All clearances must be dated within the past year (except where noted):

  1. Arrest/Conviction Report (Act 24)
  2. PA State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34)
  3. FBI Fingerprints (Act 114)
  4. PA Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
    • Training valid for 5 years
  5. Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure (Act 168)
  6. TB Test - Must be within the last 90 days
