Location: Hybrid in San Antonio, TX; Rome, NY; Langley AFB, VA(1-2 days in SCIF per week)
As a Infrastructure Engineer IV you will automate infrastructure provisioning and upgrades using Ansible and bb-bootstrap. Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters across enclaves (NIPR-Il5/SIPR/JWICS). Perform bi-weekly BigBang upgrades and monthly CLI tool updates. Support backend infrastructure for tools like Jira, Confluence, KubeCost, and GitLab. Troubleshoot cluster and deployment issues alongside other teams.
The proposed salary range for this position is $124,500-$155,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. RESPONSIBILTIES
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing in a DoD context including industry standard tooling and major cloud service providers.
- Broad understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the fields of cloud computing and Infrastructure-as-a-Service.
- Serves as a senior technical expert working in engineering teams of teams environment across architecture, infrastructure, platform, migration, network, hardware, software, integration, and verification efforts.
- Provides requirement decomposition/definition and engineering expertise to assure program DOD requirements are developed and sustained.
- Fully support program architect and staff engineering efforts.
- Possesses a strong expertise in DOD areas such as command and control, intelligence, acquisition, data handling, space, and cyber, and intelligence data handling.
- Experience, knowledge and adherence to sound engineering lifecycle workflow principles across hardware, software, network, interfaces, high-level/detail design, integration, verification, and regression testing.
- Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with program objectives. Determines and develops approach to solutions.
- Directs and/or participates in all phases of risk management assessments (including cyber) and software/hardware.
- General knowledge of other related disciplines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Clearance: Active TS/SCI
- Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Similar Discipline with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
- CompTIA Cloud+ or Security +; GICSP, SSCP, or GSEC
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's or other advanced degree in Information Technology or Similar Discipline.
- Certifications in one or more of the following:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar certifications.
