As a Linux Systems Engineer II, you will sustain and enhance secure enterprise environments that support national defense and ISR missions in a TS/SCI-cleared setting. In this role, you will install, configure, harden, and maintain Linux-based systems across both Test and Operational enterprises. You will manage patching and operating system upgrades, troubleshoot complex system issues, and ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability across virtualized environments. Leveraging tools such as Puppet, Red Hat Satellite, and YUM, you will drive automation, improve configuration management, and support secure deployment of Linux virtual machines. You will also collaborate with OEM engineers to resolve elevated issues, document fixes, update procedures, and contribute to continuous process improvement. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance. Candidates must meet DoD 8140 requirements and hold Security+ certification along with either RHCSA (EX200) or Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator (AZ-800/801). A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 3+ years of relevant experience is preferred; equivalent experience substitutions apply. The salary range for this position is $79,520–$118,000, depending on experience, certifications, contract labor categories, and qualifications.
