Location: Dayton, OH, Hanscom AFB, MA

As a Command and Control (C2) Technical Lead, you will play a critical dual-role in aligning modern digital engineering practices with C2 operational requirements and acquisition lifecycle support. You will guide the development and optimization of integrated digital environments to enhance government portfolio oversight, improve operational resilience, and streamline the execution of C2 systems across their lifecycle.

You will combine deep acquisition knowledge, C2 expertise, and site reliability engineering (SRE) principles to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure digital solutions. Using agile methodologies and model-based systems engineering (MBSE), you will advise on the design, deployment, and sustainment of modernized acquisition platforms, integrating advanced toolchains such as JIRA, Confluence, and Cameo.

The proposed salary range for this position is $128,825-$146,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. RESPONSIBILTIES
    • Leverage expertise in DoD acquisitions and C2 operations to tailor digital solutions that improve program execution, governance, and system reliability.
    • Support the entire acquisition lifecycle by aligning program requirements with SRE best practices and MBSE approaches to ensure secure and stable deployment environments.
    • Support the development, implementation, and management CI/CD pipelines, enabling rapid, high-quality delivery of C2 software capabilities.
    • Facilitate onboarding of mission partners into the Integrated Digital Environment (IDE), ensuring reliable integration and customer satisfaction.
    • Conduct risk-based analysis using quantitative techniques to identify gaps, predict failures, and improve acquisition outcomes.
    • Lead root cause analysis, monitoring strategies, and reliability improvement planning for both legacy and emerging C2 related IDEs
    • Use JIRA, Confluence, and Cameo to capture, trace, and manage requirements, documentation, and workflows across the program lifecycle.
    • Analyze C2 related IDEs data and performance metrics to develop insights that inform acquisition decision-making and operational strategy.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement system reliability standards and predictive maintenance protocols.
    • Develop and/or contribute to acquisition documentation, including RFPs, SOWs, etc., as well as digital policies and technical manuals to support program execution and sustainment, as required. Work under general direction while autonomously determining and implementing technical solutions that enhance digital acquisition agility.


KEY QUALIFICATIONS
    • Clearance: Active TS/SCI
    • Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 10-12 years of experience, or Master's degree with 8-10 years of experience. *At least 5 years of combined specialized experience in acquisition, C2 systems, and site reliability engineering


    • In-depth understanding of the DoD acquisition lifecycle, including planning, execution, and contract management
    • Extensive knowledge of Command and Control concepts, systems, and operational processes
    • Demonstrated experience in system reliability engineering, site monitoring, and performance optimization
    • Strong background in DevOps/CI-CD pipeline management, systems integration, and production support
    • Hands-on experience with containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and software assurance in federal environments
    • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or JavaScript, and experience with configuration-as-code
    • Strong communication, documentation, and technical collaboration skills
    • Ability to assess technical architecture and provide guidance on digital modernization initiatives


PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
    • One or more of the following certifications such as:

    • DevOps Institute SRE Practitioner, CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), or CompTIA Security+/Cloud+

      PMP Certification

      Agile, SAFe, or Scrum
    • Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, Cameo, and MBSE toolchains
    • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and defense procurement policies
    • Expertise in predictive maintenance strategies, root cause analysis, and reliability modeling
    • Experience supporting DoD cloud migration, platform engineering, and infrastructure as code (IaC)
