GEOINT Scene Prediction Engineer (R&D)

Salary: $160,000 – $275,000 DOE

Contract: NOVASTAR – NSC-25-071 – GEOINT Scene Prediction
Employment Type: Full-time, On-site
Overview:
Join our advanced R&D team supporting the GEOINT Scene Prediction initiative under the NOVASTAR contract. This role focuses on cutting-edge machine learning and computer vision to develop prototype systems capable of predicting object actions from complex geospatial imagery. You’ll work with diverse sensor data and contribute to next-generation ISR capabilities for national security.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and refine predictive models using supervised and unsupervised learning techniques
• Integrate data from both active and passive sources, handling varying sensor modalities
• Build scalable vector databases and implement efficient data structures
• Collaborate in an Agile development environment alongside AI researchers and software engineers
• Lead efforts in computer vision algorithm design, feature extraction, and scene analysis
• Support full lifecycle R&D from concept to prototype integration
Required Qualifications:
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Hands-on experience in deep learning for computer vision
• Strong knowledge of unsupervised/semi-supervised learning methods
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar ML frameworks
• Experience developing vector databases and optimizing data structures
Preferred Qualifications:
• PhD or advanced research in ML/AI applied to geospatial or imagery data
• Experience with geospatial analytics, remote sensing, or multi-modal sensor fusion
• Familiarity with DoD or IC R&D environments
• Publications or patents in the field of predictive modeling or computer vision
